Type one story sentence after another. Capitals use Shift, and each sentence ends with its mark.
What you type
Real sentences from little stories, with a capital at the start and a period, question mark or exclamation point at the end. Two from the game:
Zoom! The race car took the turn and passed the truck. Ivy drew a purple whale with a big grin.
Choose Story lines for about two sentences a lap, or Longer laps for about three.
How to type a capital letter
Hold Shift with the pinky of the other hand, press the letter, then let go of both. For a capital on the left side of the keyboard, such as A or T, the right pinky holds Shift. For one on the right side, such as I or M, the left pinky does. The keyboard above lights the Shift key to use.
From words to sentences
Sentences add two things to word practice: capitals and end marks. If Shift is new, start with capital letters. The punctuation page takes one mark at a time. For a single sentence against the clock, try the quick brown fox typing test. When sentences feel smooth, move up to paragraphs.
