| Pointer | R F V, T G B, and C |
The hands here press the space bar with the right thumb, so the left hand can stay on its letters.
Why practice one hand at a time?
- It shows which hand needs the work. A lap on one side makes it easy to see which hand finds its keys more slowly.
- Fingers cannot borrow. When a word sits on one side, the other hand cannot reach across to help, so each finger learns its own keys.
- It is a short, clear task. Half the keyboard instead of all of it.
Then try the other side: right hand typing practice. To see every key and its finger on one chart, open the home row keys page. For words that use both hands, go to typing practice.
